Joan Bessie announces the release of her brand new single, Devil in the Back (Unplugged)

Produced by Cobra Ramone, featuring Pat Steward (The Odds, Bryan Adams, Matthew Good), this recording is a 3-minute journey that will transfix your psyche and cradle your vagus nerve.

“I wrote the lyrics when I had no answers (particularly for my own children) that could explain what was happening in the world,” says Bessie “This song was born in a difficult time and we wanted listeners to be taken to a place that feels both provocative and comforting.”

Mixed by Karl Dicaire (Said the Whale, Mother Mother, 54-40, Corb Lund), Devil in the Back (Unplugged) is radio-friendly and suited to AAA, Alt Rock and Indie formats. This song also plays well next to The Umbrella Academy and Yellowstone soundtracks.

“G.G.” hits #3

After a steady climb and 10 straight weeks on the chart, G.G. hits #3 on the CBC Music Top 20.

G.G. is an up-tempo song about perseverance, determination and kicking up dirt before you're buried in it. This track is here to remind us to live every day like we're gonna die, but try not to actually kill ourselves.

This track plays well next to current hits from Cage The Elephant, Alice Merton, Black Keys, Elle King, Mother Mother, Muse, Flora Cash and Arkells.
